Dr. Janet Tamo’s warmth and dedication to providing her patients with quality care define her approach to dentistry. Her patients appreciate her integrity and commitment to providing amazing service, and her staff members enjoy working in an environment where an easy laugh is considered a great attribute.
Dr. Tamo is proud to have been born and raised in Toronto. She makes it her goal to remain updated on the latest in dentistry, so that her patients receive effective dental treatment at all times. As a lifelong learner, Dr. Tamo and her staff are proud to be part of a profession that mandates continuing education.
After completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto, she graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. Tamo spent 20 years teaching dentistry at the university. She has also completed a cosmetic dentistry residency at New York University and an implant residency at the University of Toronto under the supervision of world-renowned implantologist, Dr. George Zarb.
Dr. Tamo is also a graduate of the BIOCLEAR Learning Center in Tacoma, Washington. Dr. David Clark established this centre to teach the “black triangle treatment,” which is often needed after adult orthodontics or periodontal surgery. Dr. Tamo is proficient at the black triangle treatment and enjoys restoring the beauty of your smile in the most conservative way.
Dr. Tamo often acts as an official spokesperson for Crest & Oral-B Canada. She particularly enjoys helping educate and inform the public on dental health matters on TV and in the media.
When she’s not in the dental office, Dr. Tamo loves watching baseball. The Toronto Blue Jays are lucky to have her as their #1 fan! She is also a strong supporter of the Jays Care Foundation and enjoys interacting with the team and their families. She is also a recent fan convert to the NBA champions, the Toronto Raptors.
